Processing Associate
This position will contribute to the production team and help ensure goals are met safely and efficiently while conforming to all company policies. The Processing Crew will process vehicles in a safe manner to produce core & scrap products, enable the customers to pull parts, and satisfy environmental requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Drain/Degarbage: Remove gasoline, coolant, waste oil, transfer case oil, catalytic converters, power steering fluid, power brake fluid, batteries, excess garbage, and other items.
- Place & Pull Vehicles: Place vehicles on wheel stands so customers can safely access sellable parts. Remove vehicles and clean up the surrounding area in preparation for the next vehicle set.
- Field Decore: Loosen the motor and transmission mounts. Remove any remaining tires and selected core items.
- Tire Dismantling: Use the tire machine to separate rubber tires and wheels. Remove weights and stems. Sort tires and prepare rims for shipment.
- Remove debris. Identify & address safety risks in the customer area.
- Recording any necessary information on autos accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist customers as needed in a courteous manner.
- Potential to operate larger industrial equipment
- Perform daily inspections on equipment reporting any defects or needed repairs to supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned by your manager
Qualifications:
- Ability to complete safety, environmental, and code of conduct training.
- Able to work required hours which may include weekends, holidays and OT.
- Ability to work efficiently in a variety of weather conditions – rain, snow, sun, cold – for a full shift.
- Experience in automotive parts, repair or dismantling (1 year preferred)
- Experience with tools and machinery, preferred but not required.
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to take direction and work on a team
- Must be able to read, write, and speak in the English language; Spanish speaking is a plus

Yard Associate
The Yard Associate is responsible for general physical labor within the yard while ensuring that all of his/her efforts are compliant with AUP’s safety, and environmental standards. Duties may include yard clean up and maintenance, and assisting other personnel through the yard.
Responsibilities:
- Properly follow company safety procedures
- Attend safety meetings and participate in safety program
- General labor duties that may include but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and general clean-up of any area and/or equipment throughout the yard
- Preparing autos for processing, such as trash removal, removing and disposing of designated parts, etc
- Keep grounds clear of debris and maintain safety standards
- Potential to operate larger industrial equipment
- Perform daily inspections on equipment reporting any defects or needed repairs to supervisor
- Recording any necessary information on autos accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned by your manager
Qualifications:
- Able to take direction and work on a team
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Willing to work weekends and overtime as needed
- Prior automotive experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes of priority and complete job tasks safely and effectively
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Flexible to work overtime, off-hours, weekends, and holidays in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be able to read, write, and speak in the English language; Spanish speaking is a plus

Intake & Sales Associate
Intake & Sales Associates work at the front end to assist customers with entering the yard & purchasing parts. This position utilizes the electronic point of sale system to take payments & direct customers to the location of potential parts that meet their needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Greet incoming customers and inform them of our yard rules and waiver form
- Perform various retail responsibilities
- Utilize computer program to help customers locate cars
- Check out customers using POS systems and mark all purchased parts with a unique company mark.
- Inspect any customer toolboxes when entering and exiting the yard to ensure no prohibited items are brought in and to decrease theft.
- Recording any necessary information on autos accurately and in a timely manner.
- Properly follow company safety procedures
- Attend safety meetings and participate in safety program
- General labor duties that may include but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and general clean-up of any area and/or equipment throughout the yard
- Willing to cross-train in other positions and assist other employees as needed
- Follow company dress code policy, maintaining a well groomed, neat appearance
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned by your manager
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior retail, cashier experience (1 year preferred)
- Automotive experience and knowledge (1 year preferred)
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to take direction and work on a team
- Must be able to read, write, and speak in the English language; Spanish speaking is a plus
- Must be comfortable using a general office equipment
